What to know:
- Citywide curfew
- Unaccompanied minors under 18 may not be in public places unless with a parent/guardian/legal custodian, or the minor is working or on lawful business.
- Summer vacation & school holidays: 12 a.m. to 5 a.m.
- Regular school year:
- Sunday–Thursday: 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Friday–Saturday: 12 a.m. to 5 a.m.
- Unaccompanied minors under 18 may not be in public places unless with a parent/guardian/legal custodian, or the minor is working or on lawful business.
- Enhanced Fremont Street curfew
- Applies in the Fremont Street Entertainment District (generally bordered by Main St., Stewart Ave., Maryland Pkwy., and Bridger Ave.).
- Unaccompanied minors may not remain in public areas:
- Fridays, Saturdays & legal holidays: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day: 9 p.m. Dec. 31 to 5 a.m. Jan. 1
- Exception (special events)
- The 9 p.m. Fremont Street curfew may be suspended for certain city-permitted special events if the permit.
- In those cases, only the citywide curfew applies.
- Possible consequences for minors
- Stopped by law enforcement
- Citation/fines: up to $300 for a first violation; up to $1,000 for repeat violations
- Escorted out of the restricted area
- Held on-site until a parent/guardian is reached
- Taken to juvenile detention
- Consequences for parents/guardians
- Illegal to allow a minor under 18 to break curfew
- Penalties: up to $1,000 fine and/or up to 6 months in jail
- Reminders for teens visiting Fremont Street
- Plan a ride home before midnight (citywide summer curfew) — or before 9 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays in the Fremont Street area (unless a permitted event waives the earlier curfew)
- Stick with friends and keep parents/guardians updated

- Review curfew times and check if your event has a special permit that changes rules
