The incident happened near North Fairview Avenue and West Prince Road, where nearly all cars parked along Tuttle Avenue had shattered windows or what appeared to be bullet holes in the glass.
Michael Hunter said a neighbor knocked on his door to alert him that his yellow Mustang’s window had been completely shattered.
“Come to find out that almost everybody on the block’s window had been apparently shot by a BB gun,” Hunter said.
Neighbors said they believe the vandalism happened sometime late Friday night or early Saturday morning.
“We don’t exactly know what happened. One neighbor said they heard gun shots last night,” Nicole Bermudez said.
Bermudez said she called 911 as soon as her neighbor alerted her to the damage. Tucson Police Department arrived around two and a half hours later and began taking reports.
“They don’t really think there’s much they can do because there isn’t evidence, footage so it seems like a dead end,” Bermudez said.
TPD confirmed they responded to the scene to take the report, but said they don’t have any updates with the case.
Hunter, who is retired and on a fixed income, said the damage is a financial burden.

“I’m retired so, you know, I’m on social security, fixed income, it’s gonna put me out,” Hunter said.
He expects repairs to cost around $400.
Bermudez said she plans to go through her insurance to get the damage covered.
“If not then somebody decided to vandalize all of our cars and now it’s our responsibility to fix our property and that’s not right,” Bermudez said.
Bermudez said she’s always felt safe in the neighborhood, but the incident is making her question her and her children’s safety.
“I don’t know if this will become like a regular thing if it’s someone who thought that they got away and they’re gonna come back down the neighborhood, go after our tires next, go through other windows, try and break into our houses, I don’t know,” Bermudez said.
Hunter said he plans to change his routine.
“Normally I park my car up the street. I put it on the street last night. And there you have it, it won’t be on the street again,” Hunter said.
Some neighbors said they plan to install surveillance cameras on the outside of their houses to be prepared with evidence if something like this happens again.
