Kim Fisher issued a public apology on social media Sunday night, saying she was sorry to the Jewish community and “anyone who took offense to it.”

She said she should have found a different way to call the board president, Paul Carver Jr., a dictator after he scheduled a public meeting at 4:30 p.m., a time when parents couldn’t attend.

The offensive gesture was made during a May 26 board meeting. Fisher was upset about the meeting time, but Carver Jr. pushed back, saying no one had formally proposed changes to policy or alternate dates.

Moments later, Fisher appeared to give a Nazi salute while saying “Heil” during the exchange.
