Court paperwork said Emmanuel Reyes Carreon sent a message to the social media account that he thought belonged to a 15-year-old girl on Wednesday, offering $200 for sex.
Thursday, he messaged the same account, this time offering to pay $100 for sex.
Carreon sent two photos of himself to the undercover officer, which were used to identify him through open-source databases, court paperwork said.
Carreon then drove to a Chandler apartment complex Thursday to meet up with the girl. He texted the girl to come outside.
As Carreon was leaving, police pulled him over and he was taken into custody. Officers said they found a male enhancement drug and $100 in cash on him.
Court documents said the undercover officer called the phone number used in the text message and Carreon’s phone started ringing inside the car.
While talking to police, Carreon admitted to going to the Chandler apartment complex hoping to have sex with a 15-year-old for money, court paperwork said.
Police said he admitted what he was doing was wrong and that he was “not thinking straight.”
He was booked into jail on one count of child sex trafficking. His bond was set at $200,000, cash-only.
The sheriff’s office confirmed Carreon graduated from the MCSO Detention Academy in April 2026 and was assigned to the Lower Buckeye Jail.
He is on paid administrative leave while the investigation continues.
“We remain committed to working with the Chandler Police Department and maintaining the integrity of the investigative process and upholding the standards and accountability expected of all employees,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
