PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An Arizona man was indicted Tuesday by a federal grand jury on child sex trafficking charges, and prosecutors allege he had been abusing the child for years.

Brian Matthew Griffeth, 48, of Tonto Basin, Arizona, is charged with transporting a minor with intent that the minor engage in criminal sexual activity.
Between December 2023 and July 3, 2026, Griffeth took a child between Arizona and Florida and made the child engage in criminal activity, including production of child sexual abuse material, the indictment alleges.
The FBI investigation into Griffeth began in November 2025 and found that he committed sexual acts with the child when they were 13 and living in Arizona, according to the indictment. The abuse allegedly continued until the child was 16, with Griffeth recording the acts.

Griffeth eventually moved the child to Florida with his family, according to the indictment.
Griffeth could face life in prison if convicted.
