(CNN NEWSOURCE) – A federal judge has blocked the U.S. Postal Service from carrying out President Trump’s executive order on mail-in ballots.

The order would have required states to certify lists of mail-in voters. It also would have required bar codes on ballot envelopes.
On Wednesday, the judge stopped the U.S. Postal Service from carrying out the order nationwide. The judge said that under the order, some voters could have been denied ballots if states did not meet the order’s requirements.

He also said that it conflicts with a 2020 settlement requiring the U.S. Postal Service to prioritize election mail.
