Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called out to a home in Meadview, about 50 miles north of Kingman, just after 6:30 p.m. The person who called 911 said a man had shown up, made threats while acting strangely and then left.
Deputies then went to a home about five miles away on Gold Basin Drive when a man came out of the house and shot at the deputies. A deputy returned fire, hitting the man, who went back inside the home.
The victim eventually came out, and he was flown to a Las Vegas hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
No one else was hurt. The suspect’s name has not been released.
The Lake Havasu City Police Department will investigate the deputy-involved shooting.
