One killed in three-vehicle crash near Kolb, Escalante in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A man died in a three-vehicle crash near Kolb and Escalante in Tucson late Monday, May 11.

The Tucson Police Department said 58-year-old Samuel D. Jackson wasn’t wearing his seatbelt when he was speeding down Kolb Road.

The TPD said Jackson crashed into the back of another vehicle, lost control, went into the oncoming lane, and hit another vehicle.

Jackson was ejected from his vehicle, and died from his injuries at a local hospital.

The TPD said the other two drivers, who were not impaired, suffered only minor injuries.

Any impairment by Jackson will be determined later.
