The travel center near Interstate 10 and Bullard Avenue will open to the public at 6 a.m., with a ribbon-cutting scheduled for 8 a.m., according to event details released by the company.

Customers can line up as early as midnight, and Buc-ee’s founder Arch “Beaver” Aplin III is expected to be there. If you’re planning to go, be ready for crowds. The company is already telling visitors to plan for long lines.

Before the doors open to everyone, Buc-ee’s will host a “First Responders Day” on Friday, June 19. It won’t be open to the general public; it’s limited to police, fire, EMS and military, and ID will be required for entry. Buc-ee’s says the day is meant as a thank-you to first responders, while also giving the store time for final touches and staff training.

Goodyear is also giving drivers a heads-up: expect heavy, slow-moving traffic around the site and build in extra travel time. The city says opening day is expected to draw visitors from across Arizona and neighboring states. Business access will remain available along Bullard, including for businesses on the Buc-ee’s traffic route.
