PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An 18-year-old driver was arrested Sunday night after authorities say he led troopers and police on a high-speed pursuit through Mesa, Tempe and Phoenix.

Usiel Polvadera-Angeles was arrested on suspicion of unlawful flight, reckless driving, criminal speeding and endangerment after the pursuit, which started on Loop 101 near U.S. 60.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a trooper spotted a dark Ford Mustang speeding at more than 125 mph on Loop 101 near U.S. 60 in Mesa.
The Mustang continued onto U.S. 60 before eventually exiting the freeway. Phoenix police’s helicopter, “Firebird,” tracked the vehicle from above near 46th Street and Roeser Road in south Phoenix.
Authorities said Polvadera-Angeles continued driving recklessly through city streets before reaching the area of 24th Street and Roeser Road. When officers turned on their lights and sirens, Polvadera-Angeles reportedly sped off again, getting onto Interstate 10 and heading back toward Tempe.

Firebird helped guide troopers and officers to the Mustang, where they deployed a grappler device near Kyrene and Baseline roads, stopping the vehicle.
There, authorities arrested Polvadera-Angeles and booked him into the Maricopa County jail.
