On June 5 and June 6, federal, state and local authorities targeted people who were allegedly setting up meetings with minors online. Undercover officers posed as minors and documented the communication with the suspects, according to the Apache Junction Police Department.
Officers coordinated meetings with the suspects and arrested 10 who showed up. Though the meetings were in Apache Junction, none of the suspects were from Apache Junction and traveled from other parts of Arizona, officials said.
All are facing felony charges, including luring a minor for sexual exploitation, attempted sexual contact with a minor, sex trafficking and aggravated luring.
