KINGMAN, AZ (AZFamily) — A domestic violence call ended in a deadly shooting involving Mohave County deputies in eastern Arizona on Monday morning.

Shortly before 9:30 a.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence report in a remote community on Blue Willow Lane, located roughly 30 miles east of Kingman. According to Mohave County officials, a 48-year-old woman pulled out a weapon, leading to deputies shooting her.
Officers attempted to treat the woman’s injuries until paramedics arrived, but she died at the scene. Her name has not been released.
The Bullhead City Police Department will be investigating what led up to the shooting, per protocol. Officials say the two deputies involved have been placed on paid administrative leave until the investigation is complete.

This is the 45th officer-involved shooting in Arizona so far this year.
