TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A second person has been sentenced for the fatal shooting of University of Arizona student Erin Jones.

Tevion Matthew Beale received 12 years, with credit for 714 days served. That means there are 9.5 years remaining, along with five years probation.
He had pleaded guilty to one count of drive-by shooting and amended count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Marcus Ian Williams, 19, received 14 years in prison and probation for five years when he was sentenced in April. He pleaded guilty to drive-by shooting and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Williams, Beale, Estevan Garcia, and Akeem Alvarez were all arrested for the shooting that killed Jones and injured three others on April 28, 2024.

The shooting happened during a house party in the 3200 block of East 5th Street around 1:40 a.m. The home is near Country Club and Alvernon.
The Tucson Police Department said the 20-year-old Jones was found shot and died at a local hospital. Three other people — a man, a woman, and a teen girl — were also injured in the shooting but survived.
