MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — A fight at a park in Mesa on Tuesday left one man with serious injuries, according to officials with the city’s police department.

Details are limited, but officers responded to a park near Crismon and Broadway roads at 7:30 p.m. for reports of multiple people fighting.
One man was taken to a hospital with injuries consistent with a stab wound or cut, officials said, and he is considered to be in critical but stable condition.

Another man was also cut with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Officers have one person detained as they continue to investigate the incident.
