Woman dies after jumping from moving vehicle in Pima County

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A woman died after jumping from a moving vehicle near South Nogales Highway and Country Club Road in Pima County on Tuesday, May 19.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said 48-year-old Joann Carol Sample was in a vehicle with her husband when she jumped out of it.

The PCSD said the investigation is ongoing, but neither speed nor impairment was a factor in the accident.

South Nogales Highway was completely closed near Ainslee Street for several hours Tuesday night.
