PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Election season is in full swing in Arizona, with the state’s primary election set for July 21. Early ballots have been sent out and early voting started June 24.

If you haven’t received a ballot or need a new one, you still have time.
Friday, July 10, is the last day to request an early ballot.
This is especially important for registered Independents, who need to request either a Democratic or Republican ballot to vote by mail in the primary.
Other important deadlines to keep track of:
- July 10: Last day to request a replacement ballot by mail
- July 14: Last day to mail back your ballot
- July 17: Last day to vote early in-person
- July 21: Election Day
In Maricopa County, more than a dozen locations for in-person early voting. Several ballot drop box sites are also available across the county.
The Maricopa County website has a list of locations and hours of operation, which are subject to change.
There will be two 24-hour drop boxes at the Maricopa County election’s tabulation and election center in downtown Phoenix and its Mesa location.

Earlier this year, the state Legislature passed a bipartisan measure that Gov. Hobbs signed that moved Arizona primaries to the second-to-last Tuesday in July. Previously, the date of the primary was the first Tuesday in August.
