The fire started just after 9:00 p.m. in the 2500 block of South Treat Avenue, which is west of Country Club and north of 36th Street.

Additional crews were requested due to the wind blowing embers toward nearby homes. Those crews were eventually canceled.

Crews from four engines and two ladder trucks contained the fire in about an hour.

The TFD says the scene was then turned over to the Wildland Team, which had been stationed on A Mountain for the fireworks show.
