The Tucson Fire Department and the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Fire Department arrived on the scene and found the driver, 20-year-old Taleah Natasha Reese, dead at the scene and a 16-year-old female passenger who sustained minor injuries.
The Tucson Police Department said the passenger was transported to the hospital.
Crews determined that Reese was driving westbound on Yuma Street and drove off the side of the roadway while taking a slight curve. Reese overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle, causing the car to roll over.
The TPD said Reese was partially ejected from the vehicle, and neither Reese nor the passenger was wearing their seatbelts.
