Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called out to a home in Meadview, about 50 miles north of Kingman, just after 6:30 p.m. The person who called 911 said a man had shown up, made threats while acting strangely and then left.
The sheriff’s office said deputies then went to a home about five miles away on Gold Basin Drive when a man, later identified as Scott Allen Hulley, 68, came out of the house and shot at the deputies. A deputy returned fire, hitting the man, who went back inside the home.
Hulley eventually came out, and he was flown to a Las Vegas hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
No one else was hurt.
Hulley was later booked into a Mohave County jail on two counts of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon, two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and one count of resisting arrest.
