TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – An armed man was spotted near Tucson High on Friday, Sept. 4.

It happened around 3:20 p.m., and the Tucson Unified School District said students were already gone for the day.
The TUSD said the Tucson Police Department responded, along with the district’s school safety officers.
The scene was cleared, and there was no threat to the school, students, or staff.

“We know that seeing police activity nearby can be concerning, which is why we wanted to share these facts with you directly,” the TUSD said in a release. “The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority.”
