TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – For the eighth time in less than two weeks, 13 News has uncovered a serious case of child sexual abuse or child pornography.

Joseph Lee Rimington appeared in court late Tuesday, Aug. 11, and is accused of impregnating one teen and forcing two others into giving him oral sex.
The 41-year-old Rimington, of Pima County, is being held on a total bond of $200,000 for two separate cases. One is from 2026, and the other is from 2025.
According to the Pima County Adult Detention Center Complex roster, Rimington is facing 16 charges in the 2026 case. 13 News attempted to obtain the interim complaint for that case, but it is restricted. We will update this story if that document becomes available.
13 News did obtain the interim complaint for the 2025 case, where Rimington was indicted on three counts of sexual conduct with a minor in a position of trust.
According to that document, Rimington forced the teens into giving him oral sex. One of the victims said she was 15 years old when the incident happened.
Investigators said another teen girl had a baby when she was 17 years old, and the teen said Rimington was the father. The victim said she agreed to have sex with Rimington because he promised “he would not do those same things” to the other victims if she had sex with him.
FLURRY OF ARRESTS
In the last two weeks, 13 News has reported on seven other men arrested on charges of child sexual abuse or child porn possession.
Many of the cases started with a report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
On July 29, 54-year-old Mark Allen Jackson was arrested in Three Points on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Investigators said Jackson admitted to downloading child porn, but claimed he did it so he could turn it over to law enforcement.
Jackson, who is a convicted felon from Colorado, was being held on a $75,000 bond as of Wednesday, Aug. 12.
On July 30, 52-year-old Darrin Russell McGarrah was arrested in Tucson on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to court documents, McGarrah was caught with thousands of child porn photos and videos and told investigators he didn’t understand why it was such a big deal, as they were “just images.”

McGarrah was released after posting a $50,000 bond.
On Aug. 4, 13 News learned that a man convicted of possession of child porn was arrested in Tucson during an operation by federal, state, and local law enforcement.
The U.S. Marshals Service said 55-year-old Edwin Van Kirk Jr. was picked up at the Roy Laos Transit Center on West Irvington Road. Days later, he was indicted by a federal grand jury on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender.
On Aug. 6, 61-year-old Thomas Francis Baker was arrested in Marana on charges of child molestation, sexual abuse, sexual conduct with a minor under 15 years old, and sexual assault.
According to court documents, the victim said she was sexually abused by Baker several times when she was around 8 to 10 years old.
As of Wednesday, Aug. 12, he was being held on a $50,000 bond.
On Aug. 7, Damien Stack was arrested in Sierra Vista on charges of child molestation, sexual assault, sexual conduct with a minor, aggravated luring of a minor for sexual conduct, and luring a minor.
The SVPD said the investigation began the day before when a local school employee reported: “an alleged child molestation that occurred at a private home.”
On Aug. 10, 35-year-old Daniel R. Contreras was arrested on charges of human trafficking of a minor, visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct, enticement, and communication device to commit sexual assault.
According to court documents, Contreras worked for the University of Arizona. He is accused of communicating with an undercover officer who was posing as a 14-year-old girl. Some of the messages referred to various explicit sex acts that Contreras wanted to have with the girl, and other messages referred to sex acts with animals.
He was ordered to be held without bond and is expected to be extradited to Nebraska.
On Aug. 11, 26-year-old Royce Josef Fite was arrested on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Investigators said they twice found child pornography on Fite’s phones years apart. The investigations began after Instagram (2024) and Snapchat (2026) reported Fite for allegedly uploading child sexual abuse material through his accounts.
He was released after posting a $50,000 bond.
