TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A Marana student has been arrested for allegedly threatening two other students.

The Marana Police Department said it was a seventh-grade student at Marana Middle.
The MPD said no “hit list” was found, and there is no active threat to the school or community.
“We take all threats seriously, and the safety of our students, staff, and community remains our top priority,” the MPD said in a release. “We value the close relationship we have with the Marana Unified School District. We appreciate the quick actions of school staff and students who reported their concerns.”
13 News has reached out to the MUSD for comment.
The MPD said parents should talk to their children about always reporting anything worrisome to school administration or police.
It was the second incident this week involving a southern Arizona student making threats.

On Tuesday, Aug. 11, a Berean Academy student was arrested after allegedly claiming they had a bomb in their backpack.
The Sierra Vista Police Department said nothing dangerous was found, but the student was booked into juvenile detention on a charge of disruption of an educational institution and making a false terroristic threat.
