TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Sierra Vista Police Department says a student has been booked into juvenile detention after a bomb threat was made at school.

The threat happened this morning, August 11, at Berean Academy.
The SVPD says a student was overheard saying he had a bomb in his backpack.
The school evacuated the students and staff, according to school policy, and a perimeter was established around the campus by law enforcement.
The backpack was identified and quarantined until a Fort Huachuca explosive detection K9 arrived to clear the area.
The juvenile faces charges of disruption of an educational institution and making a false terroristic threat.
