TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A man is facing several charges, including DUI, after crashing into a ravine on Catalina Highway on Friday, Sept. 4.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said 41-year-old Leon Milton Canty was cited for DUI and display of a suspended license plate.
The PCSD said the crash happened near Molino Canyon Vista on Mount Lemmon.
Canty was initially detained for leaving the scene of an accident.
There were no major injuries, road closures, or danger to the public, according to the PCSD.
It is the third major crash on Catalina Highway that 13 News has reported on since March.
On March 21, 35-year-old Bethany Redondo died when she failed to negotiate a turn with her truck, collided with the guardrail, and dropped 100 feet into a ravine.

On April 20, 26-year-old Alexy Alcantar died when he lost control of his motorcycle near a curve.
