TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The human remains found in a wash near Interstate 10 and Silverlake Road in Tucson early Thursday, Aug. 13, have been identified.

According to the autopsy report from the Pima County Office of the Medical Examiner, the remains belonged to 50-year-old Reuben Figueroa.
The cause and manner of death were undetermined, but the report did say Figueroa had a bullet fragment in his calf and a “well-healed” leg fracture.
According to the toxicology report, Figueroa had fentanyl and meth in his system.

The Tucson Police Department said that the remains were located in the wash off South Santa Cruz Lane and that it appeared the remains were there for an extended amount of time.
