TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Today is the first of four consecutive First Alert Weather Days as near-record extreme heat builds into the weekend. An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for southeast Arizona through Sunday. Expect highs 10 to 15 degrees above average with little overnight relief, as temperatures only drop into the 80s and 90s. Limit outdoor activities, drink plenty of water, and stay weather aware.

Meanwhile, storm chances will decrease over the next few days, staying limited to areas east and south of Tucson. A slight temperature dip and better storm chances are forecasted for early next week.
