LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The son of Clark County Commissioner William McCurdy II is facing prison time after a violent, gang-affiliated robbery at a luxury boutique on the Las Vegas Strip, court records show.

William McCurdy III, 21, pleaded guilty on Monday, July 27, to three felony charges in connection with the March 9 attack at the Tag Heuer boutique inside the Forum Shops at Caesars.
According to the arrest report, McCurdy acted as a co-conspirator in a targeted assault motivated by an active rivalry between the “Spazzout” criminal street gang and the “2100 Infantz” gang.

During the incident, two victims were violently targeted. One of them had his wallet, credit cards, and Nevada ID stolen, while the other sustained severe dental injuries that required a root canal and cap, totaling an estimated $1,200 in damages, the report says.
Key evidence in the case came from surveillance footage saved by the store’s manager, as well as clips uploaded to Instagram. The video evidence shows McCurdy entering the store alongside the primary attacker while recording the unfolding violence on his cell phone.
According to detectives, McCurdy and another co-conspirator who was arrested on May 4 were also captured on camera laughing as the victim was assaulted. McCurdy followed the group into the store’s back office as the assault escalated, continuing to record the violence before fleeing the scene without contacting law enforcement.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Tuesday, September 22.
