Man cut with knife during robbery in downtown Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man was hospitalized after he was cut with a knife during a robbery overnight in downtown Phoenix.

Officers responded to a reported unknown emergency around 3 a.m. Tuesday near 3rd Avenue and Fillmore Street.

When police got to the scene, they found a man with several cuts from a knife. The man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Phoenix Police said.

Initial information found that the man was robbed of personal items and cut with a knife in the process. No suspect information was immediately available.

This is still an active investigation, police said.
