Albany authorities said human remains were found in the woods following an extensive search for missing 18-year-old Samuel Jackson.
They were later positively identified as those of the missing man.
According to Dougherty County police, the 18-year-old’s brother, Jamal Jackson, 23, was arrested in the case and is facing charges that include murder, concealing the death of another, and disposal of a human body.
Samuel Jackson had been missing since June 26 after leaving his home in Dougherty County. Following his disappearance, local law enforcement and the community launched an active search to find him.

The remains were found in a wooded area, where Samuel Jackson was known or believed to have traveled, authorities said.
Police did not release any further immediate information about how Samuel Jackson may have died. Investigators said the case remains an open and active investigation.
