TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Crews are looking for two people who were swept away by floodwaters in the Benson area late Wednesday, Sept. 9.

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office said a man called 911 around 7:30 p.m. and said his vehicle was caught up in flooding near Interstate 10 and North Ocotillo Road.
A woman was also in the vehicle with the man, who said the car was filling up with water and stuck on a tree.
Crews from the CCSO, Benson Fire Department, and HCI were unable to reach the two right away due to the weather.

As of 9 p.m., crews were still looking for the vehicle and couple near milepost 3 of Ocotillo Road and asked drivers to avoid the area.
