It happened around 2:30 p.m. at 67th Avenue and Utopia Road, south of the Loop 101 freeway.

Police said an older woman in an SUV changed lanes while heading south and side-swiped a car near the intersection. That impact forced the car to side-swipe a large box truck.

The truck driver lost control and went into the northbound lanes and crashed into two other cars, including a sedan, police said.

The driver of the sedan died at the scene.

Two other drivers were taken to the hospital but should survive, police said.
