Miracle Herron, 23, found herself in the middle of a police chase while she was just trying to do her job.
Surveillance video from a neighboring home showed Herron sitting in her orange car in front of the house where she was supposed to deliver food.
As she exited the car, she was hit by an oncoming gray sedan. The driver of the gray car then got out and ran in the opposite direction.
As it turns out, the driver of the gray car was evading police when he hit Herron. Video showed police cars pulling up seconds later as officers chased the suspect.
Amazingly, after being hit, Herron picked up the food order and walked it to the customer’s porch.

Thankfully, Herron had no broken bones but is still recovering from aches and pains.
The suspect, identified by police as Torrence Whitaker, was caught on video weaving in and out of several backyards. Eventually, he was captured with the help of a police K-9.
Whitaker is now behind bars facing multiple charges.
As for Herron, she said her days of driving for DoorDash are probably over.
Lilly Portillo, the neighbor who caught the crash on camera, said she hopes Herron receives an award from DoorDash.
“Maybe somebody could reward her or something. Poor lady. At the end of the day, she did deliver the food, though,” Portillo said.
