YAVAPAI COUNTY, AZ (AZFamily) — A man is dead and a teenager is hurt after a head-on crash Wednesday in central Arizona.
Yavapai County deputies responded to the reported two-vehicle crash on Walker Road near mile marker 4.
Initial investigation found that a 17-year-old girl driving a pickup truck crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and struck a van that was driven by a 69-year-old man.
Emergency crews took the man to Yavapai Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries. Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office said the man was from Prescott, but they did not identify him.

The teenage girl was also hospitalized and is receiving treatment, YCSO said.
Investigators are still looking into all factors that led to this crash.
