A declaration filed April 27 by Clark County Chief Deputy District Attorney Charles Thoman says Mayweather is accused of drawing and passing a check on or about Dec. 31, 2024, drawn on a Wells Fargo account and made payable to Gold and Beyond, 376 W. Sahara Ave.
The filing alleges Mayweather received cash and/or merchandise for the stated value and that the check was deposited but returned unpaid.
The declaration also states a certified letter was mailed to the name and address listed on the check notifying Mayweather of the returned item and demanding payment.
The document alleges more than 10 days passed after the letter was mailed and that Mayweather failed to pay the check in full.
