PRESCOTT, AZ (AZFamily) — Three children are in state custody after investigators said they found them and drugs inside a Prescott home earlier this week.

The investigation started when the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office said deputies pulled over a car Saturday after concerns were raised about possible drugs inside and the safety of two children.
Partners Against Narcotics Taskforce (PANT) detectives arrived at the scene, but only one charge was issued, deputies said. It was unclear what the charge was.
However, investigators said the traffic stop helped PANT detectives obtain information so they could investigate a home on Ruth Street on Tuesday.
The sheriff’s office said the detectives believed the children were in danger because of the “illegal activity” inside the home. Several agencies then worked late into the night after a judge approved a search warrant.

During the search, investigators said they found 14 grams of methamphetamine, 11 grams of powdered fentanyl and 6 pounds of marijuana.
The three children in the home were placed in the custody of the Department of Child Safety.
Four unidentified adults were arrested on drug and child endangerment charges.
