TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Reports of an armed suspicious person caused a shelter-in-place at three schools in Vail on Thursday, Aug. 13.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said deputies were called to the 10000 block of South Distillery Canyon Spring Drive around 11:30 a.m.
That caused the PCSD to call for a shelter-in-place at three nearby schools — Cienega High, Old Vail Middle, and Acacia Elementary.
The PCSD said deputies found the juvenile involved, but determined they were not a threat to the public or schools.
