TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A violent inmate escaped from the federal prison in Tucson on Wednesday, Sept. 2.

The manhunt caused a lockdown at the state prison, which is near the federal facility.
The U.S. Marshals Service identified the escaped inmate as 46-year-old James Casady Cangro.
The federal agency said guards at the minimum security satellite camp near the prison noticed Cangro was missing around 8:10 a.m. Wednesday.
The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Cangro has brown hair and brown eyes. He may be wearing a white tank top and gray pants. He has several tattoos, including 188% above his right eye, SAC, a red swastika, and a blue iron cross on his stomach.

According to the DOJ, Cangro was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison last year.
He was accused of distributing fentanyl, meth, and firearms in New Mexico. The DOJ said Cangro also had ties to the Sinaloa Cartel and the Soldiers of Aryan Culture prison gang.
