TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Representative Alma Hernandez, candidate for Arizona State Senate District 20, joined Devyn Shea on Tucson Now to tell viewers why she deserves their vote on July 21st.

Hernandez has termed out of her state house seat after 8 years and is now seeking a state senate seat for district 20 in a campaign she describes as “experienced”.
While Hernandez said the governor just signed her 11th bill into law last week, she “has many bills that [she] introduced this year that unfortunately were stalled in the Senate that [she] hopes to continue building on”, including emergency rental assistance programs and juvenile criminal justice reform bills.
Top of mind for Hernandez, however, is cost of living. An issue she says is the overwhelming feedback she’s hearing from the community, and a conversation she sees continuing through the general election.

Hernandez hopes to leave voters with the message that she has “the ability to work with everyone and get things done”.
