The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office confirmed Monday that Tempe police have recommended 98 counts of voyeurism and two counts of bestiality against Antony Cruz, 28. An attorney’s office spokesperson said the charges are currently under review, and there is no timeline on when a decision will be made.
Arizona’s Family reached out to Tempe police for more information, but a spokesperson said that because of the holiday, they did not have any more details.
Investigators said Cruz downloaded videos of girls ages 13 to 15 who were changing in the dance room at Corona del Sol High School.
He was arrested in August and booked into jail on seven counts of voyeurism. Cruz is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges last month. Cruz had no prior criminal history.

Tempe Union District officials said the videos were from a camera that was installed in 2024 in a dance room.
Investigators said the dance room was turned into a temporary locker room during the summer while the school’s locker room was being renovated. The district said then that the dance room was not approved to be a changing area, and an internal investigation is underway to see what led up to that decision.
The district said it does not have cameras in locker rooms, bathrooms or designated changing areas.
