TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The National Weather Service in Tucson confirmed a funnel cloud was spotted on Friday, Aug. 21.

13 News viewer Willow L. shared a photo of the funnel cloud, which appeared around 3:23 p.m.
The photo, which can be seen above, was taken near Interstate 10 and Wilmot with the Catalinas in the background.
While tornadoes in southern Arizona are rare, but funnels clouds are not.
In fact, 13 News reported a confirmed funnel cloud in Pima County just last year.
