TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A man has been found guilty in connection with a fatal shooting on Tucson’s south side in 2024.

On Friday, Aug. 28, a jury found Jayden Betters guilty of first-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He will be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. Oct.5.
The Tucson Police Department said Betters shot and killed Adam Lee Arndt inside their home near Tucson Boulevard and Drexel Road on Aug. 2, 2024.
The TPD said the 22-year-old Betters confronted Arndt and the two began arguing. Betters allegedly then retrieved a gun and shot the 33-year-old Arndt.

Betters fled the scene but was caught near Irvington and Tucson Boulevard.
