TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Finger Ridge Fire started burning near Finger Rock Trail in the Santa Catalina Mountains late Friday, Aug. 7.

According to the Coronado National Forest Facebook page Saturday morning, the fire was caused by lightning Friday night about 10:33 and has grown to 20 acres.
Finger Rock Trail is closed.
Officials say the Finger Rock Fire is located near Finger Rock Canyon in the rough, rugged, and steep terrain of the Santa Catalina Mountains.
Additional air and ground support are on the way, but access due to the terrain, extreme heat, and anticipated incoming storms pose further challenges, according to the Coronado National Forest.
Smoke will be visible in the surrounding area throughout the day.
There are currently no structures at risk.
