Tickets for the first-ever Fastball Comedy Festival go on sale Friday.
The weekend-long, outdoor festival on Oct. 17-18 will feature some of comedy’s biggest names at the ballpark where the Chicago Cubs hold their spring training, the MLB franchise announced Monday.
Burr and Segura will take the main stage in center field on the festival’s first night, while Chappelle will perform his set the second night. The Cubs said that additional performers will be announced for a second stage behind right field. Special guests are also expected both nights. The festival will be phone-free.
Two-day passes go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Cubs and spring training season ticket holders can sign up Monday for access to presale tickets. The presale starts Thursday at 11 a.m.
“The Fastball Comedy Festival combines world‑class comedy with the unique atmosphere of a professional ballpark, creating a one‑of‑a‑kind live entertainment experience,” Justin Piper, the general manager of Spring Training Operations for Sloan Park, said in a statement. “This is another example of how we’re using the ballpark as a hub for exciting new events beyond baseball, and we encourage fans to take advantage of the presale so they don’t miss out.”

The festival is being produced in collaboration with Bruce Hills Entertainment and Wrigley Field Events.
