TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Candidates are finding out where they stand with voters as results start to come in for Arizona’s Primary Election.

In statewide races, Governor Katie Hobbs, who did not face an opponent, is closer to finding out who she will face in the November General Election.
Governor Hobbs offered the following comments Tuesday afternoon.
Here is how that race is shaping up for other parties.
Republican
- Andy Biggs – 71.6 % (Projected Winner)
- Ken Miceli – 5.3 %
- Scott Neely – 7.5 %
- David Schweikert – 15.6 %
Biggs released the following statement after being declared the GOP winner:
“I am deeply honored to be chosen by Arizona Republicans as their nominee to defeat Katie Hobbs in November. This campaign has been driven by our grassroots supporters from the day we launched in January 2025 with a clear mission of Restoring the American Dream in our great state. Tonight’s results show that Arizonans overwhelmingly believe in our vision and I’m grateful to have earned their support. Our goal has always been to unite the Republican Party and we’ve done that as much as any nominee in recent memory.”
“As we advance to the General Election, I want to make sure every Arizonan knows this: no matter what your political party is or your background, you deserve a better leader than Katie Hobbs. I’m going to work day and night to earn your vote, finding the areas of agreement we have and making sure you know I’ll be a Governor for you and your family and your community.”
For Arizona Attorney General, Kris Mayes is running unopposed and will advance to the General Election. Two Republican candidates are both trying to be her opponent.
- Rodney Glassman – 44 %
- Warren Petersen – 56 %
For Secretary of State, Incumbent Adrian Fontes does not have an opponent and will advance to the General Election.
His possible opponents include:
Republican
- Alexander Kolodin – 58.3 % (Projected Winner)
- Gina Swoboda – 41.7 %
Democrat Nick Mansour does not face a Primary Election challenger for State Treasurer.
In the General Election, his possible Republican opponent will be the winner between:

Republican
- Katherine Haley – 45.7 %
- Elijah Norton – 54.3 %
Republican Incumbent Tom Horne faces a tough challenge from within his own party as he is trailing Kimberly Yee.
Here is how that race is shaping up:
Republican
- Tom Horne (I) – 45.9 %
- Kimberly Yee – 54.1 %
Democrat
- Dr. Teresa Leyba Ruiz – 79.8 % (Projected Winner)
- Brett Newby – 20.2 %
After being declared the projected winner, Dr. Teresa Leyba Ruiz talked to Tucson Now host Makayla Goos.
There are two spots open for the Arizona Corporation Commission and plenty of candidates hoping to fill them.
Democrats
- Jonathan Hill – (Advances to General Election)
- Clara Pratte – (Advances to General Election)
Republican
- Nick Myers (I) – 31.5 %
- Kevin Thompson (I) – 36.2 %
- Ralph Heap – 32.3 %
