NEW YORK (Gray News) – Actress Selma Blair was arrested after allegedly trying to open an airplane door mid-flight and injuring two flight attendants, TMZ and Variety confirmed.

Blair, 54, was aboard a Delta Air Lines Flight to New York City from Los Angeles on Sunday night, according to the New York Port Authority.
While in flight, Blair allegedly tried to open the plane’s door, then allegedly hit one flight attendant and bit another.
A representative for Blair told TMZ and Variety that she experienced a medical emergency that caused the alleged conduct.
“Delta has zero tolerance for unruly or unlawful behavior, as the safety of our customers and crew always comes first,” a representative from Delta Air Lines wrote.

Officers from the Port Authority Police Department were called out to the plane around 11 p.m., where it was parked at the gate.
Blair was taken into custody and then to the hospital for evaluation, Port Authority officials said. They went on to confirm one of the flight attendants was also taken to an area hospital.
The FBI, which investigates all alleged assaults on board aircrafts, is investigating what may have happened.
What charges Blair will face was not immediately clear at the time of publication.
