Hosted by Dan Abrams, On Patrol: Live airs Friday and Saturday nights on REELZ.

It features a diverse mix of law enforcement agencies from around the country, ranging from small-town sheriff’s offices to large metropolitan police departments.

“People often see police work through headlines or brief moments in a crisis. On Patrol: Live allows us to share a broader picture of our officers, our values, and the many ways we serve and connect with the community,” Tempe Police Chief Ken McCoy said.

This isn’t the first time an Arizona agency has worked on a similar show. The Arizona Department of Public Safety previously appeared on the show’s predecessor, Live PD, during its first season in 2016.

The department says participating provides an opportunity to give the public a closer look at the day-to-day realities of policing and the people behind the badge, while supporting transparency and community engagement.
