MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies have recovered the body of a man who drowned at the Salt River over the holiday weekend.

MCSO deputies first received reports of a missing person, identified as 22-year-old Sahr Sewah, on the Salt River on Saturday around 3:15 p.m.
After an extensive search, deputies recovered Sewah’s body in the river the following day around 12:15 p.m.
Deputies confirm Sewah’s death is being investigated as a drowning. No additional details were released at this time.
