Foul odor leads officers to children living in unsafe conditions, police say

TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX/Gray News) – Two Texas men were arrested after reports of a foul odor led Temple police to a home where children allegedly were living in unsafe conditions.

Michael Robbins, 34, and John Robbins, 68, were arrested after a caller reported a foul odor coming from the home May 20.

Officers said they confirmed the smell. When they went inside, they reported the conditions were unsafe for children and notified Child Protective Services.

The two men were charged with abandoning or endangering a child with intent and were each held on $30,000 bond.

Both children were taken to a hospital for evaluation.
