TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating a Highway Patrol State Trooper‑involved shooting this morning, May 25.

The AZDPS says the shooting happened just after 8 a.m.
The incident started as a traffic stop on Westbound I-10, near Benson.
The individual shot by State Troopers is deceased.
No state troopers are injured.
There is no ongoing threat to the public.
The DPS says more information will be released as soon as it become available to share.
