GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Two children and their mother are dead after a horrible chain of events overnight in the West Valley.

Glendale Police responded to Tailgaters Sports Bar & Grill at 61st Avenue and Bell Road just after midnight on Monday when a man reported that his wife shot at him at the bar.
The man who reported the incident told officers that his wife drove to the bar and shot at him, then she fled in a gray SUV, Glendale Police said. When officers got to the bar, they found a woman who had been shot in the back of her head.
The injured woman was hospitalized and is expected to survive, according to police. It’s unclear if she was a bystander or involved in some way.
The man then told police his wife texted him that she was going to hurt their children. He confirmed that his wife and children were at a home near 49th Avenue and Paradise Lane, leading to officers from Glendale and Phoenix responding to the home.
Shortly after, the man received another text message that had a photo of one of the children bleeding from the head. That led to officers entering the home, where they found both children and their mother dead from apparent gunshots.

The children and their mother have not been publicly identified. Police said the mother was the suspect in the bar shooting.
This is still an active investigation, and there is a heavy police presence at both scenes. Phoenix PD is taking over the murder-suicide investigation at the home, while Glendale PD will investigate the bar shooting scene.
Police said additional information is expected to be released on Tuesday due to Monday being a holiday.
